Letter to our Gubernatorial Candidates

Dear Governor Sununu & Senator Feltes,

Arts4NH is the leading membership based organization in New Hampshire to advocate for public support for the arts and arts education as integral to a robust economy and a skilled and creative workforce.  Our mission is to expand awareness of the pivotal role arts and culture play in New Hampshire’s creative economy and community life.  Arts4NH advocates, educates, communicates and connects.

The board and members of Arts4NH are keenly aware of the disruption and devastation the COVID 19 pandemic has brought to our individual and organization members as well as the communities in which they live and serve throughout New Hampshire.  We recognize the acute need for financial relief for artists and arts organizations now, and that the recovery, once it begins, will be a long and difficult trek.  

Our members are intensely interested in your plans, if re-elected/elected to assist the arts sector’s recovery to spark local NH economies, drive tourism,  and restore social vibrancy in our  communities.  Please address how you intend to protect and increase the State budget to provide more equitable monetary support for the arts. Secondly, please speak to how you plan to promote the importance of the arts to New Hampshire’s economic well being and to the health of our communities.  Thank you in advance for your response which will be posted on our website to inform our membership base.
